About Your Host Sed Lewis

I graduated from the University of West Georgia with a Masters Degree in Criminology. I have spent the past 16 years helping parents of at risk youth design interventions to keep their kids safe on social media. Interventions ranged from monitoring Twitter to prevent gang members from shooting clients to utilizing Facebook posters for teens that run away from home. My experience made me realize the true dangers of the internet and the need for parents to stay on top of the latest trends in technology.

No longer was I going to confine my knowledge and expertise to at risk youth and their family. Teens in my family and community were engaging in serious online behavior which lead me to becoming an international internet safety expert. I adopted the moniker SpyParent as my alter ego. SpyParent is the husband and father of two that spends nights and weekends discovering how criminals are taking advantage of our youth. SpyParent is the person that monitors all of the dangerous apps that teens are using to engage in sexting, cyberbullying, drug use, and other dangerous activities. GOD called me to this mission years ago as a young college student to utilize all my gifts and talents to protect and empower our youth. The Digital Parent Podcast is the main avenue for teaching parents and empowering youth on the best ways to utilize social media.
